🌴 Jodie – The Dream Weaver
ZAPHIRE began with Jodie - founder, designer and the creative heart of our bohemian boutique in Kuranda.
Her journey started over twenty years ago in a small hippy shop on the Gold Coast, where she first learnt to sew on a traditional foot-treadle machine. From there, she studied Fashion Design, mastering pattern-making, millinery and garment construction.
Her path led her into costume design, creating sparkling ballet and jazz costumes before returning home to Cairns. After working in visual merchandising, she found her true calling in the rainforest village of Kuranda.
ZAPHIRE was born, a tropical bohemian boutique grounded in fair trade values, artisan craftsmanship and community connection.

Simily has been part of the ZAPHIRE journey for over seven years, bringing more than two decades of experience in styling and fashion.
She’s our intuitive stylist, storyteller and creative soul. From helping women find their perfect fit to directing fashion shoots and writing meaningful content, Sim brings depth and warmth to everything she touches.

Holly is the youngest member of our trio, bringing fresh energy and creative vision to our tropical fashion brand.
As our photographer and social media creator, she captures the essence of ZAPHIRE - colour, movement and that relaxed Far North Queensland lifestyle. Her warmth and positivity shine through both online and in-store.
